Weert is a little bit further located from the Boschmolenplas, but is easily reachable by bus(bus stop at a 5 minute walk from Boschmolenplas). If you want to travel by car, it will take approximately 25 minutes. If you want to drive through a nice scenery, then please avoid the highway, but choose for the route across the villages Baexem and Mildert. 

Even more beautiful is to firstly drive to Ittervoort and then continue your way via Hunsel, Hoogstraat, Ell and Swartbroek towards Weert. The city Weert is also called “the gate of Limburg”, because it is located at the border of the provinces Limburg and Noord-Brabant.. Just as Roermond, Weert is also a typical Burgundian city which offers many shops, nice squares and terraces. For lovers of history Weert is the perfect city to visit, since Weert counts many churches, chapels and monasteries. The Bospop festival and the Weert fair are annually organised events which are very popular. Once you are in Weert, you also should absolutely not forget to try and taste the delicious pie baked in Weert.
